– Yes, it’s dancing on an oldtimer boat (from 1955) on the Elbe river! Enjoy the sunset outside with your friends and aperitivo before you pure bal it out on the dance floor.

Balboa Hospital
The building from 1859 was used a hospital until 1970 and a couple of years later became a cultural meeting point for the neighborhood, it’s goal was to “improve quality of life”. We will be dancing in the upper floor that has a balcony for relaxing and breathing in between.

10.00pm Band: Ragtime United! Hamburgs best Trad Jazz Band! Founded in 1976 in Hamburg, their repertoire is inspired by numerous jazz musicians such as George Lewis, Bunk Johnson and Ken Colyer. Their music is swinging and was originally inspired by the early dance music “Ragtime”, that filled ballrooms in New York, New orleans and Chicago in the 1920ies.
For those who remember: They were playing for HBX 2018 in Hafenklang and the floor was smoking hot!

– Dancing outside to a local Swing Band in one of the finest public parks of Hamburg. Read location details carefully, this park is very big! There is a Kiosk for Drinks, Ice Cream and Snacks next to the dance floor.

Live: Les Cousins Germains  – A Hamburg based, german-french Swing & Chanson Band with a lot of esprit! They will add some Django tunes exclusively for HBX!
